1

Name (mandatory): A suggestive moniker for this object. It'll be used to populate the label of the node in the Server Explorer tool window.

2

Comments (optional): Some descriptive text providing additional context regarding the intended use of this proxy, for user annotation.

3

Proxy IP Address (mandatory): The IP address or a host name which resolves to the IP address of a local network adaptor, the loopback address (127.0.0.1) or the $local keyword. The resolved IP Address will be used by the proxy to listen for client requests.

To increase the portability of the settings when exporting configurations, it is recommended to use the value $local as the Proxy Address.

4

Proxy Port (mandatory): The IP port used by the proxy to listen for client requests.

5

Remote Address (optional): The IP address or a host name which resolves to the IP address of the server service the proxy will connect to on behalf of the client. This information is used in tunneling mode or as a parameter used by a dynamic proxy configured to do forwarding.

6

Remote Port: The IP Port to be used with the Remote Address.
